Project: Chichu Art Museum.
This couple of non-commissioned images invite the observer to Naoshima, an island close to the Pacific coast of Japan. Naoshima was restructured to host several art museums and installations to attract locals and tourists, giving the island cultural attraction after the local industries stopped exploiting the exhausted grounds. Tadao Ando was the contracted architect who designed several museum spaces around the island.
Client: Tadao Ando, not commissioned.
Location: Naoshima, Japan.
